Since 1901, the Kunst legacy has been built upon a foundation of trust, honesty, and loyalty, principles instilled by our great grandfather. Our early years were spent in the paint manufacturing and retail business. Kunst Bros Paints consisted of a large factory in downtown San Francisco and seven stores throughout California. Unfortunately, in 1949 the main factory burned down. When Bob Kunst returned from the war, he and his two brothers shifted to paint contracting. Today, we continue this tradition by assembling a team of expert craftsmen who embody our commitment to quality and integrity in every project.

John oversees all facets of the company. He’s passionate about the culture and values because it’s what guides all of us in our commitment to our customers, team members, community, and our trade. He is the 5th generation in the family.
Miguel ensures our field teams are perfectly scheduled and resourced for their upcoming jobs. He oversees quality, production, and general Kunst Painting happiness. He is also heavily involved in our recruiting, interviewing, and training of the painting crews.
Paula keeps everyone and everything organized. Not only is she the friendly voice on the other end of the phone, she oversees all-things behind the scenes.
Suzy is responsible for capturing and showcasing the company's painting projects, including exterior and interior paint jobs as well as commercial work. She curates content for social media and direct mail campaigns, effectively highlighting the exceptional quality and strong values of the company to the public.
